Coral Rock / Ultramarine is part of a series of four coral paintings, drawing from Dead-man’s Fingers, an exhibition by Nicola Bealing at Matt's Gallery in 2023.

The works developed into an intense investigation of heightened, imagined sub-marine landscapes. They depict fictionalised underwater worlds which drift between beauty and menace.

Each painting is unique, and signed by the artist on the reverse.
