IT ONCE HAD A FACE, NOW IT WANTS ONE AGAIN

10 – 24 July 2020

MattFlix presents Jennet Thomas’ IT ONCE HAD A FACE, NOW IT WANTS ONE AGAIN (2020).

Two billion years from now, the oceans are beyond understanding, yet undersea karaoke may still be possible. The ghost of an oyster holds memories of what happened. It sings to a scrap of cloth that fell to the bottom of the sea, trying to get a face.

IT ONCE HAD A FACE, NOW IT WANTS ONE AGAIN forms part of Thomas’ series of works ANIMAL CONDENSED>ANIMAL EXPANDED. For more information on the series, click here.

IT ONCE HAD A FACE, NOW IT WANTS ONE AGAIN was first shown as part of an installation of objects and video at xero, kline & koma in February 2020. Jennet Thomas is represented by Tintype, London.
