Ranging from diminutive collages through to sculptures and large-scale installations, multivalent words permeate Voss’ work. The words seem innocently descriptive, or declaratory, but through their conflation with images and objects, an emotional state is invoked as they slip back and forth between the prosaic and the punning, the mirthful and the melancholy.
